If you own an IKEA Kallax shelving unit, here's something worth knowing: the A5 Box Stak and the Pen & Pencil Box Stak fit side by side inside a single standard Kallax cube — no wasted space, no gap. Together they give you ten individually accessible storage boxes in one cubicle, each one sliding out on its own without disturbing the rest.

The right combination: Two A5 Staks won't fit side by side in one cube, and two Pen & Pencil Staks would leave a gap. The A5 + Pen & Pencil pairing is the one that fits exactly.
The A4 Box Stak does not fit a Kallax cube — it's a different product for a different space, so it's not included here.

Yes — the A5 Box Stak and Pen & Pencil Box Stak are both compatible with standard IKEA Kallax cubes, and fit side by side in the same cube at the same time.

How many boxes fit in one Kallax cube?

Ten — five in the A5 Box Stak and five in the Pen & Pencil Box Stak, each sliding out individually.

Does the A4 Box Stak fit in a Kallax cube?

No — the A4 Box Stak frame is too large for a standard Kallax cube. A4 boxes can still be stacked directly in a Kallax cube without the frame, but without individual slide-out access you'd need to lift the top boxes off to reach the ones underneath.

Which combination should I buy?

The IKEA Kallax Compatible Storage Pack is the simplest option — one A5 Stak and one Pen & Pencil Stak, boxes and handles included, in a single purchase. Buy the Staks separately if you'd rather build up gradually or already own some of our boxes.
