DESTINATION CARRIER SERVICE
European Union ParcelForce Logo WestonBoxes DAP
Switzerland (click for details) ParcelForce Logo WestonBoxes DAP

Q. Do you ship into the EU?

A. Yes. We offer a DAP 'delivered at place' service.

Additional fees will be charged by the carrier before you can receive your order. These fees are VAT and customs handling charges at your local rate.

Our DAP 'delivery at place' shipping service means we, the sender, are responsible for the delivery of goods including transport costs to you, the receiver. The cost of carrying out all required import formalities is expressly excluded. These costs are borne by you, the receiver, meaning taxes, import duties and handling charges incurred when the shipment enters your region must be paid by you, the receiver.

If VAT and/or customs charges are higher than the regional exemption limits, duties must be paid on the doorstep upon receipt of the consignment. If you are not present at the time of delivery or the outstanding amount cannot be paid, a collection invitation will be left for the shipment.

Q. Do additional charges apply?

A. Yes. Orders on our website shipping to an address outside of the UK are shown NET of local VAT and duties. The price you pay at the checkout covers the cost of product and transport only.

Q. How will VAT & Duties be handled?

A. The customer/recipient is responsible for paying all local import VAT and any applicable customs duties. These charges are billed directly by the courier upon arrival in the destination country.

Q. Why don't WestonBoxes collect VAT on EU orders?

A. As a UK exporter, we cannot collect EU VAT. The local EU VAT (eg German Einfuhrumsatzsteuer) must be paid at the point of import to ensure the tax is paid to your country's government.

Q. Are additional details required?

A. Yes. Businesses must provide a valid EORI number. This is required to clear the goods through customs. Individual customers do not need an EORI but will still be charged the fees.

Q. Can I track my shipment?

A. Yes. You will be provided with a tracking number via email once the item ships. It is the customer's responsibility to monitor the tracking link closely for payment requests or customs delays.

Q. What if I refuse to pay the VAT and duties on the carriers request?

A. If a shipment is refused at the border, or if the customer fails to pay the nescessary import charges (VAT / Duty), the goods will be returned to our UK warehouse.

In this scenario a refund will be issued for the product's value, minus two mandatory charges: 1. Lost shipping costs: The original outbound shipping fee. 2. Restocking fee: A 10% admin charge relating to the products value to cover the cost of repackaging and checking the item is still in a saleable condition. These charges will be made against any items that are returned to us that have not cleared customs.

Q. Is there UK VAT on EU orders?

A. No. If your delivery address is in the EU your order will be processed with no VAT applied. This is determined at the checkout when you select your delivery location.

Q. I have not received my order what should I do?

A. We will contact you to alert you of any delay in the turnaround of your order, so if you have not heard from us and have not received your boxes after a few days, please email us here.

Q. My boxes arrived broken what should I do?

A. If the product arrives damaged, you must accept the delivery, photograph the damage, and contact us. We will post a pro rata refundĀ  of the cost for the specific items that were damaged.
